I started out...

I began with a dream of supplying my customers with quality products and I thought it would be super simple, but it is not simple. I began with very little material and supplies, every little turn of the jewelry making has been another supply or tool that I need! The art of epoxy resin is delicate and time sensitive! I enjoy every part of this process and I have learned to be meticulous with my time and my designs. What I learn every day when I start to design is that this business is endless with possibilities of wonderful art and jewelry. Designing is therapeutic. I have turned a hobby into a business.

I am currently using a UV Resin that I enjoy allowing the sun's UV rays to cure and I am also using the Part A and Part B method as well. I have seen the UV resin is better for the smaller jewelry items, that need to be cured quickly or when I layer. The part:part resin has been more successful when I make medium sized items and for when I want to integrate some pigment, but not mix the pigment into the clear resin.

The silver, rose gold, and gold flakes are the hardest to work with so far, as they are delicate, static clingy, and come in small compact balls that have to be disected in order for the flakes to become small enough so that I can work with them. While mixing flakes and clear together, the dredged bubbles come back, so I have to be careful when stirring them in. That's all I have time for today, until next time!

I enjoy bringing creative jewelry to you and I hope that you will shine, sparkle, and gleam with enjoyment from your purchases of my products. Thank you for reading my first blog and look forward to sharing with you further my experience as I journey on with this adventure!
